Sara Gilbert is a well-known American actress who has appeared in many films and television series throughout her long career. She is also cohost and the creator of The Talk. The first time she made waves for herself in the TV series Roseanne playing the role of Darlene Conner-Healy; this role earned her two Primetime Emmy Award nominations. Aside from her role as Darlene Conner-Healy in the smash hit The Big Bang Theory, she starred as Leslie Winkle on the television show The Big Bang Theory. Her credits as an actor include films like Poison Ivy The Big Tease and Light It Up. In addition to being an actor Gilbert also dabbles in the writing of scripts and directed. Gilbert has been reluctant to talk about her life in public following her discovery that she was sexually gay. At the beginning of her career as an actress she dated Johnny Galecki, her co-star on the show before recognizing her sexual orientation. Sara Gilbert began to date Allison Adler. She came out shortly after the breakup just prior to the premiere of her talkshow. The couple was married from 2014 until 2019, to the songwriter/singer Linda Perry.
